Over the last few weeks, intense anti-government protests have popped up in countries all around the world. While the developments behind each uprising are indeed multifaceted, many of the ongoing protests seem to center around similar motives.
Take Ecuador, Chile, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq and Colombia: Inequality is a key factor for the demonstrations in each country. Especially young people take to the streets to protest the growing gap between the rich and political elite, and the poor.
