Hong Kong protesters clashed with police on Sunday after authorities attempted to disperse demonstrators holding a rally in support of China's ethnic Uighurs.
Dozens of police faced off with protesters who hurled glass bottles and rocks at them.
Earlier in the afternoon, more than 1,000 people gathered in a public square overlooking Hong Kong's harbour, calmly waving Uighur flags and posters, with various messages including "Free Uyghur, Free Hong Kong."
