The government in Iran has denied a cover-up after admitting it accidentally shot down a Ukrainian passenger jet, killing all 176 people on board. Protests took place in a number of cities over the weekend. Demonstrators have criticised the government for initially denying it was behind the disaster. In Tehran, security forces have used tear gas to disperse protestors. But they deny accusations that they used live ammunition.
